PE Locator is a professional tool for locating unknown polyethylene pipelines, particularly useful in emergency conditions where unnecessary excavation risks wasting valuable time, saving time and money.
Generally outdated maps are used to locate existing polyethylene lines.
The method used is based on feeding a complex sound wave into the pipe via an electroacoustic transducer. The receiver, equipped with an advanced DSP (Digital Signal processing) processor, allows the detection and amplification of the signal in an extremely selective manner, enabling each operator to easily identify the position and route of the affected pipeline allowing significant savings in time and money.
Selective filters make it possible to work in the absence of noise and efficiently even in urban environments, even with strong ambient noise (cars, crowds, road noise, etc.).
A sturdy aluminum housing of the tone emitter encloses a high-performance electroacoustic transducer; the receiver is enclosed in an ABS housing that ensures its robustness and light weight.
The electronics used for signal generation are contained in an indestructible ABS case.
